The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Challenger Firebirds (Hickory, NC) and the visiting Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Eagles (Asheville, NC), saw Challenger's volleyball squad beat Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Challenger upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Firebirds travel to Nebo Crossing Academy (Nebo, NC) to play the Bulldogs in a Western Piedmont Athletic bout on Tuesday, September 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Nebo Crossing Academy won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Lake Lure Classical Academy (Lake Lure, NC)

The Eagles now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Community Christian Academy for a Western Piedmont Athletic bout on Monday, September 19.
