The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) and the host Kennebunk Rams (Kennebunk, ME), saw Thornton Academy's volleyball squad beat Kennebunk by a tally of 3-1.
With the win, Thornton Academy upgrades its record to 1-2 on the year. The Trojans host Biddeford (Biddeford, ME) to play the Tigers in a Class A bout on Saturday, September 17. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-0. Biddeford won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Marshwood (South Berwick, ME)
The Rams now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Deering for a Class A bout on Monday, September 19. Kennebunk will play a Rams squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME). The Rams record now stands at 5-1.
