In Friday's non-league battle, the visiting McMullen County Cowboys volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Woodsboro Eagles.
The Cowboys (13-8) will now prepare for their battle against Benavides (Benavides, TX). The Eagles come into the 1A Region IV District 31 battle with a 0-10 record. In their last battle, Benavides went down by George West (George West, TX), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Eagles encounter the Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats (Bloomington, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 28 battle, on Tuesday, September 20. Woodsboro will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Bobcats/Lady Cats come into the battle with a 4-10 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Victoria Cobra HomeSchool (Victoria, TX).
