The Putnam Clippers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting New London Whalers to 0 in the Clippers league victory on Friday.
The Clippers now have a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Windsor for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 20. Putnam will meet a Panthers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Coventry (Coventry, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 1-4.
The Whalers (0-3) will now prepare for their game against Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT). The Wildcats enter the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Norwich Free Academy dropped by Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT), 3-0, in a league game.
