In Friday's league battle, the visiting Plainfield Panthers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Wheeler Lions.
The Panthers (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against East Lyme (East Lyme, CT). The Vikings come into the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, East Lyme lost by Griswold (Griswold, CT), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Lions clash with the Waterford Lancers (Waterford, CT) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 19. Wheeler will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Lancers come into the battle with a 2-3 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Fitch (Groton, CT).
