The Washington Lions football squad scored 12 points and restricted the host Green Oaks Giants to 6 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.

The Lions now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodlawn-Shreveport for a 4A District 1 battle on Friday, September 22. Washington will face a Knights squad coming off a 38-28 non-league win over Red River (Coushatta, LA). The Knights record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Giants face the Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 22. Green Oaks will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Warhorses enter the battle with a 2-1 record after their 34-6 non-league loss to Logansport (Logansport, LA).
