In Saturday's non-league game, the Nokomis Warriors (Newport, ME) football team were victorious over the visiting Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME), by a score of 36-14.
The Warriors (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Oceanside (Rockland, ME). The Mariners come into the C North game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, Oceanside knocked off Hampden (Hampden, ME), 40-0, in a league game.
The Black Raiders now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Belfast for a D North game on Saturday, September 23. Winslow will meet a Lions team coming off a 14-7 league win over Old Town (Old Town, ME). The Lions record now stands at 1-4.
