Waterford-Halfmoon Fordians (Waterford, NY) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Cohoes Tigers (Cohoes, NY), 9-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Fordians face the Mechanicville Red Raiders (Mechanicville, NY) in a Wasaren challenge, on Monday, September 18. Waterford-Halfmoon will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a 4-0 record after their 5-0 league win over Stillwater (Stillwater, NY).

The Tigers now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host Academy of the Holy Names for a Colonial Council challenge on Tuesday, September 19. Cohoes will face a team coming off a 4-3 league loss to Ichabod Crane (Valatie, NY). The record now stands at 0-4.
