The Benton Central Bison smashed the visiting Southmont Mounties soccer squad by a margin of 6-1 in Saturday's non-league match.

The Bison now sport a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Covington for a non-league match on Tuesday, September 19. Benton Central will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 9-0 non-league win over Western Boone (Thorntown, IN). The Trojans record now stands at 11-1.

With the loss, Southmont drops to 2-7 on the season. The Mounties travel to Cascade (Clayton, IN) to encounter the Cadets in a non-league match on Monday, September 18.
