Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars confront the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 21. Croatan will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Nighthawks enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 6-0 league win over Camden County (Camden, NC).

The Comets now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Garner for a Greater Neuse River 4A challenge on Monday, September 18. Clayton will confront a Trojans team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 5-4.
