The Hoggard Vikings soccer team scored 1 points and limited the visiting Mount Tabor Spartans to 0 in the Vikings non-league victory on Saturday.
Next, the Vikings face the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A contest, on Tuesday, September 19. Hoggard will attempt to better on its 7-1 season record. The Pirates enter the contest with a 4-5 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Clinton (Clinton, NC).
The Spartans now have a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Davie for a Central Piedmont 4A contest on Monday, September 18. Mount Tabor will face a War Eagles team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Reagan (Pfafftown, NC). The War Eagles record now stands at 0-9.
