Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cardinals face the Somerset Christian Cougars (Somerset, KY) in a District 48 challenge, on Tuesday, September 19. Wayne County will attempt to better on its 13-5 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Trinity Christian Academy (Lexington, KY).

The Cardinals now have a 4-7 record. They take the field next when they host Somerset for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 19. South Laurel will meet a Briar Jumpers squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Model (Richmond, KY). The Briar Jumpers record now stands at 12-3.
