The Marceline Tigers softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Capital City Cavaliers to 1 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Marceline improves its record to 7-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to Westran (Huntsville, MO) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league game on Tuesday, September 19. The Hornets come into the game with a record of 5-5. Westran lost 6-2 in their recent league game against Fayette (Fayette, MO)

In their next game, the Cavaliers clash with the Bowling Green Bobcats (Bowling Green, MO) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, September 20. Capital City will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Bobcats come into the game with a 11-3 record after their 4-0 league win over Silex (Silex, MO).
