Scottsbluff Bearcats (Scottsbluff, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host NEN (Wisner, NE), 10-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Bearcats now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they host Alliance for a B District challenge on Tuesday, September 19. Scottsbluff will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Chadron (Chadron, NE). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-10.

With the loss, NEN falls to 10-11 on the campaign. The host Arlington (Arlington, NE) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 19. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 11-9. Arlington lost 8-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Tekamah-Herman (Tekamah, NE)
