Northridge Grizzlies (Greeley, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Weld Central Rebels (Keenesburg, CO), 8-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Niwot for a 4A Longs Peak challenge on Tuesday, September 19.

With the loss, Weld Central falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Rebels host Lyons (Lyons, CO) to battle the Lions in a 3A/4A Patriot challenge on Tuesday, September 19. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 13-3. Lyons won 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against The Academy (Westminster, CO)
