West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) backers left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC), 2-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Rebels battle the Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) in a non-league match, on Monday, September 18. West Lincoln will attempt to better on its 6-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 2-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC).

With the loss, Alexander Central drops to 1-10 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to battle the Pioneers in a Northwestern 3A/4A match on Monday, September 18. The Pioneers come into the match with a record of 8-1. Watauga won 3-0 in their recent league match against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC)
