Georgia High School Volleyball - Apalachee can't hold off Mount Vernon

In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Mount Vernon Mustangs volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Apalachee Wildcats.

The Mustangs (15-14) will now prepare for their battle against Mount Pisgah Christian (Johns Creek, GA). The Patriots come into the 1A Area 6 battle with a 22-5 record. In their last battle, Mount Pisgah Christian nudged Osborne (Marietta, GA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Mountain View Bears (Lawrenceville, GA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 16. Apalachee will attempt to advance on its 14-11 season record. The Bears come into the battle with a 2-17 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA).
