In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Blacksburg Wildcats.
The Hilltoppers (4-11) will now prepare for their battle against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans come into the Mountain Foothills Seven 1A/2A battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, Chase lost by Patton (Morganton, NC), 3-1, in a league battle.
Next, the Wildcats encounter the Greer Middle College Blazers (Taylors, SC) in a AA Region 1 battle, on Tuesday, September 19. Blacksburg will attempt to advance on its 1-8 season record. The Blazers come into the battle with a 4-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC).
