The Menahga Braves topped the visiting Cass Lake-Bena Panthers volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Braves now have a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Staples-Motley for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 19.
The Panthers (3-7) will now prepare for their test against Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN). The Tigers enter the Northwoods test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Pine River-Backus was knocked off by Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN), 2-0, in a non-league test.
