In Saturday's non-league contest, the South Ridge Panthers (Culver, MN) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Cass Lake-Bena Panthers (Cass Lake, MN), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Panthers face the Esko Eskomos (Esko, MN) in a Polar contest, on Thursday, September 21. South Ridge will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record.

With the loss, Cass Lake-Bena moves to 3-7 on the year. The Panthers host Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN) to face the Tigers in a Northwoods contest on Tuesday, September 19. The Tigers go into the contest with a record of 4-4. Pine River-Backus lost 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN)
