The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Russell Broncos (Russell, KS) and the visiting Central Plains Oilers (Claflin, KS), saw Russell's volleyball squad beat Central Plains by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Russell upgrades its record to 13-4 on the year. The Broncos host West (Topeka, KS) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 16. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 4-2. West lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Emporia (Emporia, KS)

The Oilers now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Minneapolis for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 16. Central Plains will play a Lions squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Beloit (Beloit, KS). The Lions record now stands at 10-4.
