The Helix Highlanders volleyball team (La Mesa, CA), was nudged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Del Norte Nighthawks (San Diego, CA)

The Nighthawks (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Maranatha Christian (San Diego, CA). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 11-8 record. In their last challenge, Maranatha Christian was nudged by Mt. Carmel (San Diego, CA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders encounter the El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) in a Grossmont Hills challenge, on Tuesday, September 19. Helix will attempt to move on its 10-4 season record. The Vaqueros enter the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Bishop's (La Jolla, CA).
