In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Dunkerton Raiders volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Mason City Mohawks.
The Raiders (9-8) will now prepare for their battle against Riceville (Riceville, IA). The Wildcats come into the Iowa Star North battle with a 6-10 record. In their last battle, Riceville lost by Spring Grove (Spring Grove, MN), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Mohawks clash with the Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 16. Mason City will attempt to advance on its 3-16 season record. The Spartans come into the battle with a 18-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA).
