Ohio High School Volleyball - Northview crushed by Gilmour Academy

The Gilmour Academy Lancers topped the host Northview Wildcats volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Lancers now have a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lexington for a non-league test on Monday, September 18. Gilmour Academy will confront a Minutemen team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Norwalk (Norwalk, OH). The Minutemen record now stands at 11-2.

The Wildcats (8-3) will now prepare for their test against Anthony Wayne (Whitehouse, OH). The Generals enter the Northern Lakes test with a 11-1 record. In their last test, Anthony Wayne gained a win over Napoleon (Napoleon, OH), 3-0, in a league test.

SYLVANIA - A big time non-conference match-up between two marquee programs to highlight a Caturday in Sylvania. Gilmour Academy was able to defeat the Wildcats in straight sets moving Northview to 8-3 overall, 6-1 NLL at the halfway point of the 2023 regular season campaign.
Leading for Northview were seniors Natalie Kerchevall with a double-double, 12 kills, hitting .258 and 14 digs; senior libber Jordyn Pakulski with 10 digs and 3 assists, and senior setter Hannah Schoen with 25 assists and 7 digs. Also leading the offense was sophomore middle blocker, Lucy Sauer with 3 kills on 4 attempts, hitting .750 while adding 1 block.
Northview returns to NLL play on Tuesday as they head to Anthony Wayne.
