In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Titans volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks.

The Titans (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against North Union (Armstrong, IA). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, North Union defeated Bishop Garrigan (Algona, IA), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Hawks encounter the St. Mary's Hawks (Remsen, IA) in a War Eagle battle, on Thursday, September 21. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record. The Hawks come into the battle with a 8-4 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Kuemper (Carroll, IA).
