In Saturday's non-league challenge, the Lisbon Lions (Lisbon, IA) volleyball team defeated the host Iowa Valley Tigers (Marengo, IA), by a count of 2-0.
The Lions (13-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 12-5 record. In their last challenge, Calamus-Wheatland defeated North Cedar (Stanwood, IA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Tigers encounter the Sigourney Savages (Sigourney, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar challenge, on Monday, September 18. Iowa Valley will attempt to move on its 2-15 season record. The Savages come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 3-0 league win over Tri-County (Thornburg, IA).
