The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Monticello Panthers (Monticello, IA) and the host Notre Dame Nikes (Burlington, IA), saw Monticello's volleyball squad beat Notre Dame by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Monticello upgrades its record to 14-4 on the year. The Panthers travel to North Cedar (Stanwood, IA) to play the Knights in a River Valley North bout on Saturday, September 16. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 6-6. North Cedar lost 3-0 in their recent non-league bout against Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA)

The Nikes now own a 18-10 record. They play next when they host Mediapolis for a SEI - South bout on Thursday, September 28.
