Ponderosa Mustangs (Parker, CO) followers went home pleased Monday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Roosevelt Roughriders (Johnstown, CO), 20-16 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Ponderosa advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Doherty (Colorado Springs, CO) to play the Spartans in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 21. The Spartans go into the battle with a record of 1-0.

The Roughriders now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Castle View for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 5.
