St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) followers left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, St. Joseph-Ogden advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Fisher (Fisher, IL) to face the Bunnies in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 16. The Bunnies go into the test with a record of 4-5.

The Cornjerkers now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salt Fork for a test on Tuesday, September 17. Hoopeston will face a Storm squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Heritage (Broadlands, IL). The Storm record now stands at 2-0.
