Oxford Academy Blackhawks (Oxford, NY) boosters exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Afton Knights (Afton, NY), 6-1 in a league test.

With the triumph, Oxford Academy moves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Blackhawks travel to Delaware Academy (Delhi, NY) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Midstate Athletic Conference test on Thursday, October 3. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 1-5.

The Knights now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Unadilla Valley for a Midstate Athletic Conference test on Tuesday, October 1. Afton will clash with a Storm team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Franklin Central (Franklin, NY). The Storm record now stands at 0-1.
