In Monday's non-league contest, the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) soccer team routed the visiting Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC), by a count of 6-0.
Next, the Pirates face the East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 19. Porter Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 10-2 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 5-5 record after their 2-0 league loss to Butler (Matthews, NC).
The Cougars (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Piedmont (Monroe, NC). The Panthers enter the Rocky River 2A/3A contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Piedmont held off Anson (Wadesboro, NC), 9-0, in a league contest.
