In Monday's non-league outing, the host St. Laurence Vikings soccer squad scored a tight 4-2 win over the Kankakee Kays.
The Vikings (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Marmion (Aurora, IL). The Cadets enter the Chicago Catholic outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, Marmion tipped Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL), 9-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Kays confront the Rich Township Raptors (Olympia Fields, IL) in a SICA outing, on Tuesday, September 17. Kankakee will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Raptors enter the outing with a 1-5 record after their 8-1 non-league win over Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL).
