In Monday's league outing, the host Lewis Mills Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 5-3 victory over the Newington Nor'easters.
The Spartans (2-3) will now prepare for their outing against Conard (West Hartford, CT). The Red Wolves go into the Central Connecticut - Central outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, Conard got by South Windsor (South Windsor, CT), 1-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Nor'easters confront the South Windsor Bobcats (South Windsor, CT) in a Central Connecticut - Central battle, on Thursday, September 19. Newington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 2-4 record after their 1-0 league loss to Conard (West Hartford, CT).
