In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Toombs County Bulldogs softball team scored a tight 4-2 victory over the Thomson Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs (13-2) will now prepare for their match against Vidalia (Vidalia, GA). The Indians go into the 1A D-I Region 3 match with a 7-11 record. In their last match, Vidalia tipped Savannah Christian (Savannah, GA), 6-1, in a league match.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Glenn Hills Spartans (Augusta, GA) in a 2A Region 4 match, on Tuesday, September 17. Thomson will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record. The Spartans go into the match with a 0-4 record after their 20-7 league loss to Butler (Augusta, GA).
