Del Campo Cougars (Fair Oaks, CA) followers went home in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their flag football squad smash the visiting McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA), 51-0 in a non-league match.

The Cougars (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Placer (Auburn, CA). The Hillmen come into the test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Placer triumphed over Casa Roble (Orangevale, CA), 14-13, in a non-league test.

With the defeat, McClatchy drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Cordova (Rancho Cordova, CA) to play the Lancers in a challenge on Tuesday, September 23. The Lancers go into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Cordova lost 47-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Del Campo (Fair Oaks, CA)
