Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Westwood Warriors (Mesa, AZ), observed Desert Vista's volleyball team hold off Westwood by a count of 2-1.

The Thunder (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Marana (Tucson, AZ). The Tigers go into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Marana was edged by Buena (Sierra Vista, AZ), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Warriors now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dobson for a battle on Wednesday, September 24.
