The Clinton Dark Horses soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Terry Sanford Bulldogs to 1 in the Dark Horses non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Dark Horses now hold a 8-1 record. They play next when they host D.H. Conley for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 18. Clinton will play a Vikings squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Greene Central (Snow Hill, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 6-1.
With the loss, Terry Sanford moves to 3-5 on the year. The Bulldogs host Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC) to play the Rams in a Tri-County 6A/7A bout on Monday, September 22.
