In Tuesday's league outing, the host Lawrence Free State Firebirds soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Shawnee Mission North Bison.
The Firebirds (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Lawrence (Lawrence, KS). The Lions go into the Sunflower outing with a 5-0 record. In their last outing, Lawrence got by Shawnee Mission Northwest (Shawnee Mission, KS), 2-1, in a league outing.
Next up, the Bison play the Olathe North Eagles (Olathe, KS) in a Sunflower outing, on Thursday, September 18. Shawnee Mission North will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Eagles go into the outing with a 1-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Gardner-Edgerton (Gardner, KS).
