In Tuesday's league outing, the host Scituate Spartans soccer squad scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Middletown Islanders.

The Spartans (5-0) will now prepare for their outing against Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI). The Villa Novans go into the Division 2 outing with a 0-6 record. In their last outing, Woonsocket was overwhelmed by Pilgrim (Warwick, RI), 5-1, in a league outing.

Next up, the Islanders play the Blackstone Valley Prep PRIDE (Cumberland, RI) in a Division 3 game, on Thursday, September 18. Middletown will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The PRIDE come into the game with a 2-4 record after their 6-0 league win over Juanita Sanchez Complex (Providence, RI).
