The Western Christian Pioneers (Salem, OR) soccer nipped the host Pleasant Hill Billies (Pleasant Hill, OR), 4-3 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yamhill-Carlton for a 3A/2A/1A-SD2 Special District 2 contest on Thursday, September 18. Western Christian will face a Tigers team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Central Linn (Halsey, OR). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.

The Billies (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Salem Academy (Salem, OR). The Crusaders enter the non-league challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Salem Academy was nudged by Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR), 3-1, in a league challenge.
