Southside Panthers (Gadsden, AL) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Clay-Chalkville Cougars (Pinson, AL), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Southside improves its record to 10-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Fort Payne (Fort Payne, AL) to face the Wildcats in a 6A Area 14 test on Thursday, September 18. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 24-6. Fort Payne won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Scottsboro (Scottsboro, AL)

The Cougars now have a 2-17 record. They play next when they travel to Stanhope Elmore for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 18. Clay-Chalkville will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Wetumpka (Wetumpka, AL). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-8.
