Eleva-Strum Cardinals (Strum, WI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host Pepin/Alma Eagles (Pepin, WI), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Melrose-Mindoro (Melrose, WI). The Mustangs come into the Dairyland challenge with a 4-8 record. In their last challenge, Melrose-Mindoro was nudged by Fall Creek (Fall Creek, WI), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran Lancers (Eau Claire, WI) in a Dairyland challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Pepin/Alma will attempt to advance on its 8-6 season record. The Lancers go into the test with a 4-0 record after their 3-2 league win over Independence/Gilmanton (Independence, WI).
