Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Maple Lake Irish (Maple Lake, MN) and the visiting New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN), observed Maple Lake's volleyball team top New Ulm by a count of 3-1.

The Irish (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Kimball (Kimball, MN). The Cubs enter the Central Minnesota contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Kimball was knocked off by Maranatha Christian Academy (Brooklyn Park, MN), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Marshall Tigers (Marshall, MN) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 18. New Ulm will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Tigers go into the battle with a 10-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Mankato West (Mankato, MN).
