Wisconsin High School Volleyball - Marathon Newman Catholic

Newman Catholic Fighting Cardinals (Wausau, WI) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Marathon Red Raiders (Marathon, WI), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Newman Catholic improves its record to 11-11 on the season. The Fighting Cardinals travel to Columbus Catholic (Marshfield, WI) to encounter the Dons in a non-league test on Saturday, September 20. The Dons enter the challenge with a record of 14-7. Columbus Catholic won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Abbotsford (Abbotsford, WI)

Next, the Red Raiders meet the Loyal Greyhounds (Loyal, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 18. Marathon will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Greyhounds enter the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Cameron (Cameron, WI).
