Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the St. Mary Cathedral Snowbirds (Gaylord, MI) and the host Pellston Hornets (Pellston, MI), observed St. Mary Cathedral's volleyball team top Pellston by a count of 3-1.

The Snowbirds (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Forest Area (Fife Lake, MI). The Warriors enter the Ski-Valley contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Forest Area was knocked off by Onaway (Onaway, MI), 3-2, in a league battle.

The Hornets now own a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harbor Light Christian for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 18. Pellston will encounter a Swordsmen squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Alanson (Alanson, MI). The Swordsmen record now stands at 2-5.
