    The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Becton Wildcats (East Rutherford, NJ) and the visiting Wood-Ridge Blue Devils (Wood-Ridge, NJ), observed Becton's football squad defeat Wood-Ridge by a count of 27-7.

    The Wildcats now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host North Arlington for a North Jersey - Meadowlands contest on Friday, September 24. Becton will play a Vikings squad coming off a 46-42 league loss to Secaucus (Secaucus, NJ). The Vikings record now stands at 0-2.

    Coming up next, the Blue Devils play the St. Mary Gaels (Rutherford, NJ) in a North Jersey - Patriot contest, on Friday, September 24. Wood-Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Gaels go into the contest with a 0-1 record after their 55-19 league loss to Wallington (Wallington, NJ).
