The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles (Bruning, NE) and the host High Plains Storm (Polk, NE), observed Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's football squad defeat High Plains by a count of 42-22.

The Eagles now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Blue Hill for a D2 District 7 (8 Man) contest on Friday, September 24. Bruning-Davenport/Shickley will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 54-52 league win over Lawrence-Nelson (Nelson, NE). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-2.

Coming up next, the Storm encounter the Fullerton Warriors (Fullerton, NE) in a D2 District 6 (8 Man) contest, on Friday, September 24. High Plains will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
