    The Sequoyah Eagles football squad scored 41 points and restricted the host Locust Grove Pirates to 28 in the Eagles non-league victory on Friday.

    The Eagles now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kansas for a 2A District 8 battle on Friday, September 24. Sequoyah will face a Comets squad coming off a 32-12 non-league loss to Westville (Westville, OK). The Comets record now stands at 1-2.

    Coming up next, the Pirates face the Westville Yellowjackets (Westville, OK) in a 3A District 3 battle, on Friday, September 24. Locust Grove will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a 4-0 record after their 32-12 non-league win over Kansas (Kansas, OK).
