In Friday's league game, the Magnolia Bulldogs (Magnolia, TX) football team tipped the visiting Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX), by a final score of 27-21.
The Bulldogs (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Cleveland (Cleveland, TX). The Indians come into the 5A-1 Region II District 8 game with a 2-2 record. In their last game, Cleveland was tipped by Magnolia West (Magnolia, TX), 41-14, in a league game.
The Panthers now hold a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Porter for a 5A-1 Region II District 8 game on Friday, September 24. Lufkin will battle a Spartans team coming off a 45-3 league loss to College Station (College Station, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 0-4.
