Georgia High School Softball - South Effingham bounces Newton

South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Newton Rams (Covington, GA), 7-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Mustangs now own a 13-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Eastside for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 18. South Effingham will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 11-4 non-league win over Houston County (Warner Robins, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-1.
With the loss, Newton falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Ola (McDonough, GA) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 17. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 10-10.
